I sent the following out last week to employers and schools as an invitation to attend Ka Lima O Maui’s upcoming annual job fair. I’ve attached a job fair flyer for you to print and distribute at your convenience. Mahalo for your support! Hope to see you at the job fair!
Ka Lima O Maui’s 5th Annual Job Fair which was held last October was such a success! We could not have exceeded our expectations without our wonderful Maui community attendance and support! We are so appreciative of you and all of our community partners!
As fall is quickly approaching, so is our upcoming 6th annual job Fair! This year’s job fair will take place on Friday, October 20th at the Wailuku Community Center from 9am to 11:30am and is open to all abilities. Our goal is to have between 30 to 35 employers present. Last year we had over 200 job seekers and expect greater attendance this year!
At the job fair, we will be offering a chance to win $100 credit towards interview clothes, (donated by Sears), and another drawing for a chance to win a coupon for a free haircut courtesy of “IBS” School of Cosmetology. Safelink Wireless will also be participating in offering free mobile phones to qualified job seekers. In addition to social media, printed media and radio media, our local TV station “Akaku” will be on site to video tape the event, interview employers and job seekers providing free advertising for your business!
Held each October, National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) is a time to celebrate the many and varied contributions of America’s workers with disabilities. The theme for this year is: “Inclusion Drives Innovation”.
With last month’s reported unemployment rate for the Island of Maui being 2.4%, we understand finding qualified candidates may be an issue. Our goal is to help you find valuable employees along with a great networking opportunity. Contact me by email or phone to reserve a spot now! I look forward to hearing from you! Thank you for your time!
