“Farewell to Manzanar” at Nisei Veterans Memorial Center, Wailuku on May 11th!

Some of you have had the experience of attending our Monthly Movie Matinee’s the past months.  I hope that you have enjoyed the movies!  Here are details for our movie for May:
              Who:    General Public is invited
              What:    Monthly Movie Matinee – This month’s movie will be.  “Farewell to Manzanar”.  We continue with the subject of Manzanar while the Toyo Miyatake photo exhibit is still
                              Being displayed at the NVMC.
              When:  Saturday, May 11, 2019  (Always on the 2nd Saturday of each month)
                              1:00pm Doors open
                              1:30pm Movie begins
              Where:  Nisei Veterans Memorial Center – Education Center building
                              1 Go For Broke Place (aka:  665 Kahului Beach Road), Wailuku
              Why:      Sponsored by the Maui Sons and Daughters of the Nisei Veterans, the monthly movie series is meant to share the NVMC’s  vast collection of DVD’s on the subject of,
                              Nisei Veteran’s experience, relocation stories and other experience of Japanese Americans during WWII
The movies, snacks and beverages are free for everyone!!!  We do need a headcount since seats are limited.  Please call the NVMC office at:  244-6862 or call Leonard Oka at:  385-7670 cell, to reserve a seat.  Please come and join us for a very entertaining and educational movie!
