This apprenticeship opportunity is for U.S. citizens who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces including Reserves and National Guard. Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for aspiring and motivated individuals, with a military background, who align with our Leadership Principles for our Data Center Technician Apprenticeship Program. If accepted, apprentices will be provided both formalized IT training and on the job training leading to an interview as a Data Center Technician with Amazon Web Services. Scope of work includes troubleshooting and repairing servers with hardware and network issues. Decommission of end of life equipment. Work involves hardware diagnostic and replacement of failed components. Removal and destruction of end of life retired equipment. Must be able to work effectively with minimum supervision and handle multiple priorities. Technician will be responsible for day to day incident management of servers and networking equipment. project work and capacity management. The engineer will work closely with the Data Center Manager on projects scheduling and directing work for junior technicians and associates. Candidate must be able to obtain a CompTIA ServerPlus within first 3 months of hire date. Applicants must possess and maintain an active Top Secret security clearance (TS) with SCI eligibility. A US Government administered polygraph examination will be required. Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access is not required to start; however, the 

applicant selected will be subject to a Single-Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified national security information. Applicants with a current SSBI, SBPR, or PPR, may be eligible for crossover in accordance with ICPG 704.4. ***This opportunity is for transitioning service members and Veterans. 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 

This apprenticeship opportunity is for U.S. citizens who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces including Reserves and National Guard. Applicants must possess and maintain an active Top Secret security clearance (TS) with SCI eligibility. A US Government administered polygraph examination will be required. Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access is not required to start; however, the applicant selected will be subject to a Single-Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified national security information. Applicants with a current SSBI, SBPR, or PPR, may be eligible for crossover in accordance with ICPG 704.4. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
