WHAT:  2017 VETERANS STAND DOWN ON O‘AHU

AN EVENT FOR HOMELESS VETERANS AND THEIR FAMILIES

WHERE: Waialua Community Center

WHEN:  Friday, September 1, 2017

9 a.m. – 2 p.m.

The 2017 Veterans Stand Down on O’ahu is more than a resource fair. The event allows Veterans to access the VA Health Care and VA Benefit experts along with community agencies that provide services at one site to ensure coordinated care; offering tools and support to Veterans and their families seeking to stabilize their housing situation.

Veterans will have the chance to speak with subject matter experts from the Veterans Affairs Pacific Island Health Care System, VA Regional Benefits Office and community agencies.

There will be approximately 25-30 service providers for housing, health care, health/wellness, financial benefits, clothing, haircuts, food, music, entertainment, gifts baskets and more.  We ask Veterans bring their DD214 or Veteran card.

For more information on how you can volunteer or support this Stand Down, contact: Jackie Nguyen: (808) 347-4412 or Kurtis Ching: (808) 433-0357.
